In the middle of the COVID pandemic there is an epidemic of unhappiness. More of us are feeling disconnected and anxious. Statistically it has been estimated that nearly 25% of American women have tried antidepressants in the United States today. What if you could learn skills to stay calm and happy in the midst of uncertainty?
The workshop “Happy for No Reason” is based on the research of Marci Schimoff, author of several Chicken Soup for the Soul books. Marci began researching the topic of happiness because she was not happy. I will be sharing the secrets she found through interviewing happy people, and how we learn to have a more rewarding life.

In this class 5 week class we will look at skills that we can develop to achieve happiness and have fun on the journey!
We will cover:
Week 1 : Introduction to the Seven Keys to Building Inner Happiness.
The skills for this class are broken down into seven parts we'll refer to as keys. Each key will be defined and explained. There will be suggestions for practicing new skills each week.
Week 2: Taking Responsibility For Your Happiness.
The first key to happiness is the understanding that we all must take responsibility for our lives. We will examine ways in which we may have given away our possibility for happiness, and ways to regain our power.
Week 3: The Pillar of the Mind / The Pillar of the Heart
The mind can be a powerful tool for achieving happiness. It makes all the difference in our lives as we learn to use it in our happiness quest.
We will also look at ways to open our hearts and spread loving kindness to others.
Week 4: The Pillar of Body/ The Pillar of the Soul
We all know that health and happiness are connected. We will look at ways we can improve our health and help enrich our lives. Are you connected to a Higher Power? Perhaps it is time to think about strengthening your religious or spiritual practices.
Week 5: Living a Life Inspired by Purpose/ Cultivating Nourishing Relationships
We'll look at ways to add purpose to our lives, giving life a reset. We'll also examine the importance of being selective with the people that we allow into our inner circle, people who will give the support and the love we all deserve.
