"From April 2022 to April 2023 United States beekeepers lost 48.2% of their bee colonies." (From Bee Informed Partnership)

This large scale bee loss has been with us for the past several years and doesn't seem to be slowing down. We can do a lot to keep our bees healthy and winter ready but losing bees is a reality all beekeepers will experience. In order to sustain our beekeeping hobby it is useful to learn how to make bees.

This will be an in-class workshop discussing and demonstrating how to produce your own bee colonies by splitting existing bee colonies, making queens, managing nucleus colonies for sale or as a way to sustain or increase your colony numbers. Any beekeeper with one or more colonies of bees can use these skills to become more sustainable.

Please note: This is an indoor class only. Bee suits are not required.

Cancellations are non-refundable within 48 hours of this event.
