  • The $99 fee creates a hardship for my family. Please consider awarding me a scholarship. (Limit one class per child). It's understood I will be notified if a scholarship is available and a spot is open in this class.

Karate for Kids

Welcome to our Karate for Kids Class – where fitness meets fun and discipline becomes a delightful journey! Our program is specially designed to introduce young martial artists to the exciting world of karate in a safe and supportive environment.

1. Adventure Begins: Step onto the mat and enter a world of adventure! Our Karate for Class is not just about kicks and punches; it's a journey of self-discovery, where each child learns to embrace challenges with courage and determination.

2. Team Spirit: Karate is not just an individual sport; it's about building strong bonds with fellow classmates. Our kids learn the importance of teamwork, respect, and encouragement, creating a supportive karate family where everyone grows together.

Gabriel attended Michigan Technological University where he earned a chemical engineering degree and became a first degree black belt in Taekwondo. Following university he moved to Japan where he worked as an English teacher at a private school and began training in Shofukan Karate. Gabriel became a vice instructor in Shofukan Karate schools in Japan and eventually earned a third degree black belt. After leaving Japan he moved to Hawaii where he earned his Juris Doctor from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a third que brown belt in JKA Shotokan Karate. Prior to moving to Petoskey Gabriel was an Attorney Magistrate and District Court Administrator in Manistee, Michigan. He is a licensed attorney in Michigan and Washington State, and is currently an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for the Emmet County Prosecutor’s Office.
