*Jack Harris started the Mole Hole gift shop in Petoskey. Soon, the Mole Hole was to become a successful franchise with more than 200 stores operating nationwide.
Jack, wanting to share his success and love of art, gave generously to North Central Michigan College, transforming the campus into a large, beautifully landscaped sculpture garden to be enjoyed by all. In 2012, Jack provided generous funding for the new, state-of-the-art, Jack and Dorothy Harris Health Education and Science Center on the NCMC Campus.
Jack Harris, 85, passed away on April 9, 2013 at his home in Naples, Florida. Thanks to his generosity, Jack left a living legacy of art for future generations to enjoy.
