“All the world’s a stage And all the men and women merely players”. Theater is a safe way to explore our place in this big, confusing, wonderful world. It can give us space to learn the basics of public speaking and practice healthy expressions of emotion, along with being a great outlet for stress.

In this course, Theatre for Everyone will explore some of the basics of acting and culminate with a short performance during the last hour on Thursday. We will work on character development, projecting, stage presence and more.

Instructor: Michele Cole RN, BSN

A theater veteran, Michele has been involved with dozens of productions in many roles. Whether she is directing, producing, acting, singing or starring, she loves it all and is excited to share her love for drama with others in her community. She is one of the founders of Theatre for Everyone. Started by Little Traverse Civic Theatre in 2025, this new theater group is a multi-generational program opening opportunities for neurodivergent individuals using drama and music to encourage healthy and healing expressions of art.

Michele has had the privilege to work with children her entire life. As camp counselor, Sunday school teacher, children’s ministry director, foster mom, and homeschooling mom of 5, Michele has extensive experience teaching children.

In her professional life, she has worked for 6 years as a nurse in various positions and currently is continuing to care for others by providing healing massages.
