Imagine locking eyes with an apex predator for the first time. That moment is the heart of what North Sky Raptor Sanctuary offers. Each of the sanctuary’s live raptor ambassadors carries its own story of rescue and resilience, and that story becomes a window into ecology, conservation, and habitat stewardship. Founder and executive director Kaitlyn Bohnet has spent nearly a decade introducing Michigan to birds of prey. She will bring some of her feathered friends to North Central for us to see and learn from. She will also explain plans for Michigan’s first public wildlife education destination in Grand Traverse County.
A buffet lunch will be served around 11:30 am, lecture begins promptly at noon.
